Arsonist Red on Fire at LA Int’l

ArsnstRed12HiResJust a few months after its release and Matchbook’s 2012 The Arsonist Red Blend is already turning up the heat. This bold, powerful wine just walked away from the Los Angeles International Wine Competition with a Gold Medal… and a 91-point score from the judges!

With a label depicting Prometheus presenting fire to mankind, this wine is a Titan in a bottle, with 52% Petit Verdot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot.

Dunne on Wine: Sacramento Bee

tastingroomMike Dunne at the Sacramento Bee drove out to the Dunnigan Hills to visit Matchbook Wine Company’s tasting room. Here’s what he had to say about it:

“Even as Road 92B rises and falls through the Dunnigan Hills in the Zamora area of northern Yolo County, California motorists can’t get far without coming across a winery tasting room.

This time from the Sunset International Wine Competition. All Gold and Silver winners will be featured in Sunset Magazine’s October issue, as well as online at sunset.com (which will include Bronze winners, too).
