BEST BUY & 88 POINTS from Wine Enthusiast for Black’s Station 2014 Red Blend

by: Mikaela Leach

BLKSTN - labels

The review highlights the 2014 Black’s Station Red Blend as a substantial wine, from the dark, dark color to the ripe but dry fruit flavors….full bodied, hefty in mouthfeel, blending oaky spice accents with blueberry and blackberry flavors. We couldn’t agree more, this wine embraces the bold spirit of the pioneer town for which it is named. Click here for the full review.

91 Points for The Arsonist Chardonnay

by: Lane Giguiere

Wine Enthusiast has rated our 2014 The Arsonist Chardonnay 91 Points and an Editors’ Choice! The review appears in the November 2016 issue of the magazine:

“91 Matchbook 22014 The Arsonist Chardonnay label014 The Arsonist Chardonnay (Dunnigan Hills). There is no denying the appeal of this full-bodied Chardonnay from a remote stretch of Northern California. It smells like grilled and buttered baguette slices and Bosc pears, and tastes ripe, fruity and almost as rich as hazelnuts. Creamy in texture, it lingers long on the finish, with subtle acidity for good balance. Editors’ Choice – J.G.

“The 2012 Matchbook The Arsonist Red Blend begins with an absolutely intoxicating aroma of plum, licorice, cinnamon, spice, blueberry and more. Lots of secondary notes come out in the glass with a little air as well. The lovefest continues when tasting this smooth, delicious wine. There is, of course, lots of rich, ripe dark fruit but also hints of chocolate, more cinnamon and licorice and even a bit of bramble. Chewy tannins lead into the dry, lingering finish …”
