It’s Soup Season

by: Virginia Valdez Sandfer

Matchbook Picnicking Guide: Tip #2

This month we are celebrating SOUP Season!

Fill a thermos with a hearty soup, stew, or chili such as butternut squash soup or spicy turkey chili. Baguettes and crackers are easy to travel with – serve alongside your soup. Our go-to is a bowl of Aush Soup from House of Shah! This delicious, tomato-based soup is full of flavor. Made with noodles, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, dill, mint, yogurt, and seasoned ground beef, it pairs perfectly with our Tinto Rey Verdejo.

A picnic doesn’t always mean paper! Ditch the paper plates and opt for a decorative ceramic bowl and a wooden serving spoon.

Perfect Pairings:

Stay tuned for more Matchbook Picnicking tips!

Visit the Matchbook Tasting Room daily from 11am-4:30pm and enjoy a picnic on our beautiful patio with a vineyard view.
