The results are in from this year’s Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition, and Matchbook’s 2012 Dunnigan Hills Tempranillo walked away the big winner: The economical wine walked away with the Best of Class Director’s Award in the Tempranillo category.
The score? 94 Points and a Platinum Medal, with Wine Guru Robert Whitley giving it 93 points! Not bad for a wine at that price point.
Other wines taking home medals included:
Mossback 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon – 90 points
Matchbook 2011 Tinto Rey Red Blend – 89 points
Matchbook 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon – 87 points
