90-Point Mossback Cab!

by: Dave Kempa

If you weren’t planning on picking up Tasting Panel’s September issue, you may want to reconsider. They’ve just given our Mossback 2012 Chalk Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 90 points!! From the review:
“Tangy and smooth with blackberry, cassis and spice; edgy, lean and balanced; long and tight.”
We love this wine because of the time, effort and care that goes into making it. We ferment the grapes in-barrel, and if you’ve ever been out to Matchbook in the fall, you’ll know this includes LOTS of hammering, lifting and barrel-rolling. Our winemaking team really did something right on this one!

88-Point Rose of Tempranillo

by: Dave Kempa

Here’s something we can hang our hats on:

Wine Spectator has just given our Matchbook 2014 Rose of Tempranillo an 88-point score:

Zesty and a touch sweet, this is appealing for the jammy raspberry and cinnamon flavors. Drink now.

Delightful to see. Given the strong demand for this summer beauty, we’re happy the experts are giving it a try!
